Product configuration with Output Management Sets (OMS) provides considerably more flexibility than any other solutions we know in on the market. OMS enable a variable consequently optimal configuration of any production environment when referring to the number of printers as well as to the scope and size of the production environment. Moreover customers benefit from significant cost advantages in comparison to the single-list prices when buying OMS packages. Additionally they just invest exactly in those resources - Queues, RIP-Processes, Ink Saver and Printer Driver, that suite best for the production environment. Choice of the optimal OMS takes place according to the demands on:

• Number of used printers
• Printer driver category
• Number of required Queues
• RIP technology JAWS or Adobe PDF Print Engine 2.6 (APPE)
• Use of optional Ink Saver

OMS for Productionserver family
For and easy selection of the optimal OMS, ColorGATE provides different OMS combinations for Productionserver family, which are listed in the following table:

Depending on the product and printer, beside the existing JAWS-Set, Ink Saver can be added optionally as well as the Adobe PDF Print Engine 2.6 (APPE). The product configurator helps to find out whether the Ink Saver respectively the Adobe PDF Print Engine 2.6 is available for the assembled printer.

OMS for Specialist RIP software solutions
There are also OMS available for Specialist RIP software solutions Filmgate, Plategate, Photogate and Proofgate.

For RIP software solutions Filmgate customers can choose between OMS with JAWS or Adobe PDF Print Engine (recommended). Available printer driver categories: Small, Medium, Large or Production. For Filmgate Light APPE option is not available. Printer drivers are available for categories Small and Medium.

For RIP software solution Plategate customers can choose between OMS with JAWS or Adobe PDF Print Engine (recommended). Available printer driver categories: Medium or Large.

For RIP software solutions Photogate customers can choose between OMS with JAWS or Adobe PDF Print Engine (recommended). Available printer driver categories: Small, Medium, Large or Production.

For RIP software solution Proofgate customers can choose between OMS with JAWS or Adobe PDF Print Engine (recommended). Available printer driver categories: Small, Medium or Large.
