ColorGATE is one of the worldwide leading developers of printer drivers. Printer drivers are the interface between production computer (operating system, application software) and printers, enabling the control of the printer via the software. Overview Printer Driver

ColorGATE expands its range of printer drivers ongoing and already offers hundreds of printer drivers and ICC profiles for different printers and digital printing applications of various leading manufacturers. The majority of ColorGATE Printer Driver belong to Category 1; printer driver categories can be classified as followed:

• Category 1 (internationally marketed solvent, eco-solvent, latex and water-based printers with an output width of up to approx. 2.5 m)
• Category 2 covers most UV printers and many special and unique solutions
• Category 3 is restricted exclusively to high-end systems

To control printers that are identical in design only one printer driver is required; however, in order to operate them parallel to one another, it is necessary to have one queue for each printer. Printer drivers can be added individually and in packages of three at any time, as needed.
