Queue
A queue is used to manage the print jobs that are to be passed on to a printing system. In principle, it’s the same as standing in line at a supermarket check-out: the customer who is first in line is the first to check out and the last one has to wait until last (First In – First Out, also known as FIFO); however, the order in which the print jobs are processed can also be altered manually; some printing systems also use automation processes (grouping of jobs according to specific criteria, etc.). To rip and print on several printers at the same time, it is necessary to have the required number of queues. Queues can always be added to a system as needed; they each include 1 RIP process and 1 hotfolder.
