Printer Driver

The printer driver forms the interface between the production computer (operating system, application program) and the printing system to allow the utilization of the functionalities provided by the hardware. With a portfolio of several hundred printer drivers for a wide variety of different printing systems and the digital printing application areas of leading manufacturers, ColorGATE is one of the world’s most important developers. The majority of ColorGATE printer drivers belong to Category 1 (internationally marketed solvent, eco-solvent, latex and water-based printers with an output width of up to approx. 2.5 m); Category 3 is restricted exclusively to high-end systems and Category 2 covers most UV printers and many special and unique solutions. Only 1 printer driver is required to control printers that are identical in design; however, in order to operate them parallel to one another, it is necessary to have 1 queue for each printer. Printer drivers can be added individually and in packages of three at any time, as needed.
