FILMGATE Technology – Benefits in Film production workflow
Saves time and resources FILMGATE makes intelligent job management and optimum equipment efficiency a top priority.
Screen problems are history
In keeping with the motto that „easy handling is the key“, the application uses the ideal screen process, calculated for all current screen widths and print series.
Optimum film quality at the touch of a button Print once, and be able to do the same again at any time: FILMGATE provides the quality-related parameters for any application (profile, linearization, print mode) as a logical unit in an MIM (Media-Ink-Metamode). This unique technology delivers the greatest production reliability for print jobs and reduces color and output errors to a minimum. Any MIM combination can be freely edited as required.
Impressive color that never ends Spot colors are required on a regular basis in screen printing. FILMGATE identifies and processes literally anything that comes its way, even composite PDF files. And special algorithms prevent undesirable moiré patterns. The screen setting for any spot color can also be freely defined any way you like.
Always makes things absolutely clear
You think that seeing is believing? Simply alter the separation preview. FILMGATE doesn’t leave anyone out in the dark and offers different four modes: ”Composite“ – full-color job preview, ”Separations in process colors“ (incl. the display of the CMYK as an alternative for spot colors in separate files), ”Separations in halftones“ and ”Output preview“ – the arrangement of the separations on the output medium.
Totally linear You don’t have to be an expert to get exact results with correct linearizations using FILMGATE. All the relevant settings are available as MIM combinations.
A flexible, open-system FILMGATE can be used with any system environment (Mac, Windows, Linux, Unix).
PDF/X-1a, of course FILMGATE processes composite as well as separate PDF (X-1a) with consistently high process reliability. And that saves you time when you’re preparing and processing your data.
